The Tucson Diving Team is happy to present a new training group geared specifically for high school student divers.  The High School Diving Lessons group creates an opportunity for divers at this level to receive intensive instruction designed to build new skills.

The training focus of the group is development of highly competitive one meter springboard capabilities.  Coach Eric Barnes leads this training.  Coach Barnes recently guided two divers in similar programs to AIA State Championship titles

Coaches are invited to attend workouts with their divers at no charge.

The University of Arizona's diving facility, commissioned in 2009, is ranked in the top 5 nationally.  Divers are treated to dedicated dry-land training areas, trampoline, dry-board, belt spotting, two one meter springboards on concrete, sparger(bubbler), hot showers, and hot tub!

State of the art facilities and proven coaches combine to make an ideal training environment for high school divers to reach their full potential!

Classes begin December 2, 2009 and will be held on:

  • Wednesdays, 6:30pm-8:30pm

  • Saturdays, 11:00am-1:00pm

All classes will be held at the Kasser Family Pool in the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center on the campus of The University of Arizona.  The cost for the lessons is $100.00 per month.  All participating divers must be registered with the club and with United States Diving at the Blue level.
