Russ Bertram, Aquatics Director and Assistant Coach is in his fourth year as the coordinator of capital projects/facilities for the University of Arizona. In that position, he is responsible for the oversight of the multi-million dollar renovation and expansion of the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center, as well as the facility's day-to-day operations.

A five-time National Champion Diver, Russ has served as the National Events Director for USA Diving from 2001-04 and served on the USA Diving board of directors for eight years. He served as a team administrator for USA Diving during the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games.

Bertram was a 2008 U.S. Diving Olympic Trials judge, one of seven judges selected by USA Diving after a national search. Qualified judges must be certified through FINA, the sport's international governing body, and have international experience as a diving judge. Judges were then ranked by peers and the nation's elite-level diving coaches. A native of Indianapolis, Bertram graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Business Operations and Systems Management in 1989.
